Personalised Cake Toppers
Our personalised cake toppers are 3D printed to order in Spain with whatever you type — a name, an age, or two names and a wedding date — and the personalisation costs nothing extra. Fourteen designs on this page carry text: unicorns, dinosaurs, dragons, bunnies and teddy bears for children; golf, fishing, football, beer and nautical themes for him; an elegant name-and-age topper with champagne glasses for her; and a Mr & Mrs design with both names and your date. Each is around 15 cm wide with a socket in the base for an ice-fountain sparkler, and each is a solid printed object rather than a printed card.
Which design takes a name, an age, or both?
- A name, with the age optional: the unicorn, dinosaur, dragon, anchor, fishing, golf and fashion toppers. Leave the age blank and the same topper comes out again every year.
- A name and an age, with the number built into the artwork: football, bunny, teddy bear, the milestone golf design and the champagne name-and-age topper. These are the ones that make a specific birthday the point.
- Two names and a date: the personalised wedding topper, which doubles as an anniversary keepsake.
If you are torn, leaving the age off is usually the better buy anyway — the topper is still true next year.
How your wording is printed
Personalisation here is not a font picked from a menu and stuck on top. Your text is set into the 3D model itself, the file is sliced, and the topper is printed for you, which is why nothing on this page exists in a stock cupboard. The letters are raised, solid and the same material as the rest of the piece, so they cannot peel, curl, smudge or wick moisture out of the buttercream.
Most designs print the wording in capital letters — that is part of the design — so what carries over from your order is the spelling. Check it before you buy, because a typo will be printed just as faithfully as the right version. Accented characters are fine. Long names are fine too, but they print smaller to fit the width of the design — so if a nickname is what everybody actually calls him, use the nickname.
Timings, delivery and the one rule about returns
Made to order means the clock starts when you order. Every topper is printed for you in Spain — making takes one to three working days — and then travels tracked to Germany, which takes another five to ten business days, so allow up to fourteen days, order to doorstep. Delivery is €9.62 per order, and free on any order of €70 or more. For a fixed date, allow a fortnight from clicking buy to blowing out candles, and a little more in May, June and July when weddings and hen parties stack up on the bench.
Because a personalised topper is made specifically for you, it is exempt from the fourteen-day right to cancel — the standard rule for any custom-made item. Faulty, damaged or not what you ordered is a different matter entirely: tell us and we will put it right. Non-personalised designs keep the full fourteen-day return.
Frequently asked questions
How much does personalisation cost?
Nothing. The name, age or date is included in the price of every design that offers it. There is no setup fee, no surcharge for longer names and no premium for accented characters. The price shown on the product page is the price you pay.
Can I have a name and an age on the same cake topper?
On some designs, yes. The football, bunny, teddy bear, milestone golf and champagne name-and-age toppers all take both. Others take a single name, and the wedding design takes two names and your date. The product page shows you which fields you get before you add anything to your basket.
How long can the name be?
There is no hard cut-off, but the topper is around 15 cm wide and the text has to live inside that. Short names print large and bold; long ones print smaller to fit. Double-barrelled names and full names both work — just picture them at postcard scale and choose the version you would want on a shelf.
Can I return a personalised cake topper?
Personalised items are made to order and are exempt from the fourteen-day withdrawal right, so they cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind. If yours arrives faulty, damaged or not as ordered, contact us and we will sort it out. Non-personalised designs carry the full fourteen-day return.
Is a personalised cake topper edible?
No. It is 3D-printed PLA plastic rather than sugar or wafer, and it is not food safe. It sits on top of the cake and is lifted off before you cut. That is exactly what makes it a keepsake: it goes into a memory box or onto a shelf instead of being scraped away with the leftovers.
